FUGU 29 RIB
Made for high speed cruising in comfort
and with less fuel consumption than ever before
With FUGU 29 you can cruise at 40 knots with a fuel consumption less than 1 l/nm. This is half the consumption of many boats fitted with twin outboards. You can reach the most far parts of the archipelago, cross open seas or visit new lands with less effort and without having to worry about fuel costs and having caused an outrageous environmental footprint.
Over the last couple of years, the trend has been to use more outboard engines. It can certainly look cool, but we don’t follow this trend. The inboard engine has too many benefits. Significantly lower noice, lower center of gravity, a given sunbed area, a real bathing platform and lower insurance cost is some of the advantages.
But maybe more importantly is the huge difference in environmental footprint. Did you know that every inboard engine has a catalytic converter while no outboard engine of today has? This means that a single outboard engine have approximately 700% higher C0 emissions and 1300% higher HC+NOx emissions.
Through knowledge and craftsmanship we want to build the best boats of today and tomorrow. We produce our boats in Orust, Sweden, the heart of the long shipyard's tradition in Sweden, where high quality boats have been produced for decades. With FUGU 29 we have combined the tradition of craftsmanship with the latest technological innovations and materials to produce something new and exciting.
FUGU 29 have a roomy cabin that houses two adults, a wide windshield console, a table, a bimini top, an automatic airpressure system and heater options that make your journey even more comfortable. You will also get the choice of dual propeller or single propeller stern drives that lets you configure the boat for your needs. Either High speed, long distance cruising or quicker acceleration, leisure and watersports.
FUGU 29 have been designed using the best and most precise tools on the market. Direct engineering calculation and FEM (Finite Element Method) with CATIA V5FEA and CATIA V5. The same tools are often used in the aircraft and car industry. The combination of the long waterline of FUGU 29, the Petestep hull and the precise engineering optimize your comfort, economy and trust no matter what water you may find yourself in.
Our seats are developed with safety and comfort in mind. They are reversible and has hot air outlets for rear passengers. But more importantly, they give you safety when driving. The jockey seat position is high so you can use your knees when going through rough water. 250mm of progressive damping foam gives you the chock absorption needed for high g-forces. The seat suits drivers best from 160cm to 200cm in height.
Or get the Ullman Bulldog for FUGU
Ullman Dynamics — the world leader in chock migrating suspension seats will build a custom version of their Bulldog seat for FUGU. You will get them with our custom POD which storage and are going to be painted in the same color as your boat. You can choose fabric and a foldable foot rest as an option.
The Ullman Bulldog seat will be available in our configurator in April.
With FUGU 29 we have world a premier of a new and advanced stepped hull which have been developed during the last 5 years by Petestep. Over 300 prototypes have been built during the development phase and all data have been gathered and analyzed to produce the best hull possible.
The hull have two steps and deflectors instead of traditional spray rails. The deflectors redirect the spray water backwards and pushes the boat forward. This results in less fuel consumption, less noice and a softer journey. Another positive effect is that the boat goes straighter in both low and high speeds. With the single propeller option this means no more drawling in low speeds.
You will for sure get home fast,
but sometimes you just want to stay
